Personality: On the surface, Priest displays an immature sort of personality. He is decidedly stubborn and strong-willed, frequently letting his pettiness and vindictiveness get the better of him. Generally acting more out of self-interest, but sometimes he could care for others. He is largely hostile towards figures of authority and feels little incentive to follow orders with which he disagrees, earning him the distinction of being a loose cannon of sorts, and is also rather quick-tempered, resorting more often to steel-fisted violence rather than calm negotiation to settle disputes. Highly intelligent. He prefers to be alone. He hates to be indebted to anyone and strives to pay them back as soon as possible.

Background Information
History: Priest was born in the Sinnoh region, and grew up around ground type pokemon. At 4 years old Priest wanted to become a trainer very badly, but unfortunately when his father had taken him all the way to Sandgem town to obtain his starter pokemon, there was none left, disappointed and sad him and his farther had returned home. A few weeks after his disappointment while playing out in the desert with his fathers Skarmory, he had come across a hippopotoss. Thinking it was a threat Skarmory had charged at it hoping to scare it off. He had jumped in the way and grab the little desert hippo and scolded skarmory. When Priest was walking back home the Hippopotoss had followed him home. He brought it inside and then begged his father if he could keep hippopotoss. After a few days of his father talking to his mother they gave in and let him keep hippopotoss. After which He had packed some things and headed off on a journey with his father. Before he could walk out the door his mom stopped him and gave him a big hug and sent him off. It's been six years since then, and David has caught more pokemon and became stronger.
The guy was born in Sandgem town. Priest had both loving parents, father and mother. His childhood was quite good until the day when his father "disappeared". Priest was only 11 years old then. After his father's disappearance his personality changed. He had became a laid back kid who spent most of his time drawing or watching the sky. His mother was also sad most of the time and after he understood it, Priest promised to himself that he will be kind to all girls no matter what the size. He started drawing pictures to his mother and soon his mother was back and was even able to smile sometimes. After that his life was quite basic. He was sleeping under the bright sky most of the time or then drew or learned about pokemon a little. When he got 12 years old he got himself a chimchar but decided to stay in Sandgem for a week and scout it's surroundings. He won quite many challenges. Now the week has passed and Priest is ready to start his journey. Although leaving his mother at the time was hard for him so he stayed for another two years.
RP Sample: Priest walked out of his mother's house finally leaving her behind to go on his own Pokemon journey. Looking back he could see the tears in her eyes but they were more tears of happiness than anything else. Feeling tears in his eyes also the trainer gave her smile and a thumbs up to reassure her. His roserade stood by his side the two being inseparable for almost two years. The hippotoss that he befriended was being left home with his home as a sort of added protection. Walking along the path that would lead out of the gate a sort of nervous feeling awoke in him. It was about time to leave and explore the world and now he was feeling queasy about. Priest figured the feeling was normal and that everyone got it during the time to leave. Leaving the city behind while walking towards the next town the teen had been hit and sent sprawling to the ground.
"What the hell?!" a bidoof had crashed into with a scared expression in its eyes as it scrambled off into the distance. The look on the pokemon's face was unforgettable as he wondered what would cause a pokemon to panic like that. The answer came barreling out of the grass hitting him which sent him onto his back. A girl was laying ontop of him putting a hand gingerly to her head with an annoyed expression.
"Geez why can't these pokemon just surrender peacefully?"Priest was getting very annoyed as he threw the girl off of him much to her surprise onto her back. The teen dusted himself off before shooting her an angry scowl which she returned. After she had gotten up she grabbed priest by the front of his shirt pulling his face close to hers.
"What's the big deal getting in my way like that, but more importantly don't you know how to treat a girl?" Priest remembered the promise he had made long ago while sighing to himself. Apologizing to the rude girl would take a very large amount of patience and humility. Although before he could open his mouth she shoved him away and drew out a pokeball.
"Now you're gonna pay for letting my prey get away. I can clearly see you're a trainer so lets battle. Its gonna be a one on one so lets go!" Somewhat very irritated at this point the teen nodded his head accepting her challenge as Roserade stepped up to the plate. The female threw out a a medicham which somewhat surprised him for a second. The two pokemon squared off before Priest called the first attack on the medicham.
"Roserade use solarbeam now!" His roserade's petals began to glow white collecting the solar energy from the sun before firing the white beam of energy. The trainer told the medicham to brace itself for the hit with that being the dumbest thing to do. The attack hit head on knocking the medicham back far causing the pokemon to pass out much to the trainer's surprise. Priest returned Roserade to her pokeball before brushing past the trainer muttering weak under his breath.
